The City of Tamarac is requesting bids from qualified firms to provide officiating services for the Parks and Recreation sports programs. It is the City’s intent to contract with one or more firms or associations for the organization, implementation, and operation of the booking and staffing of Officials for all athletic programs as outlined in this solicitation. Officials shall be defined as one who administers the rules of a game or sport and shall be inclusive of the term referee or umpire unless stated otherwise.

Proposals will only be considered from firms that have been continuously engaged in providing services similar to those specified herein for a reasonable period and that are presently engaged in the provision of these services. The Contractor is to ensure that all personnel utilized for officiating services are knowledgeable in all applicable rules and regulations, as they pertain to the specific sports activity. Such officials must have a complete understanding and knowledge in the methods of common scorekeeping practices for the sports activity in question.

The estimated annual games/matches the City is requesting to be officiated is 1,100. Details regarding the City sports programs are outlined on in the document and are incorporated herein by this reference.
