The Security System Upgrade project is a multi-phased, City-wide project, including fiber and network cabling; video surveillance system replacement; access control system (ACS) replacement; and installation and replacement of security cameras, intercoms, gate controls, card readers, etc. The successful bidder shall provide, install, configure, and provide warranty service for technology systems described herein. Phase 1 includes work at the following locations: Municipal Services Complex o City Hall o Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) Tamarac District Headquarters (HQ) o Fire Station 41
o IT / Public Services Building o Parks and Recreation Admin Building o Building / Public Services Building o Fire Station 15 · o Water Treatment Storage Facility (Tract 27) · o Water Treatment Storage Facility (Sewer Master Pump Station · Recreation Center · Multi-Purpose Center (MPC) · Caporella Aquatic Center Phase 1 includes the following: · Installation of fiber optic cabling to both exterior video surveillance cameras and security gate controls. · Installation and configuration of new access control system and video surveillance system hardware and software. o Retrofit / takeover of the existing Lenel OnGuard Access Control System (ACS). o Retrofit / takeover of the existing OnSSI Ocularis video surveillance system. · Upgrades to access control system equipment. · Installation and configuration of IP-based intercoms. Access control system upgrades will include a new headend utilizing the existing access control panels. Additional card readers, reader panels and I/O modules will, however, be required for new devices andsecurity gate controls. The video surveillance system upgrades will include a new headend, servers and cameras, as well as utilizing / integrating existing IP cameras into the new system. IP-based intercom upgrades will consist of new intercoms, card readers and pedestals in identified locations. Video from the intercoms will be recorded to the VMS. Intercoms will also be integrated with both the existing VoIP telephone system and access control system for gate control. The information contained in this RFP Package is the minimum that potential proposers must address in their responses to the Request for Proposals.
